Jack is in his room in the Lakeview where he is planning on proposing to Janet. Carly has come to try to stop him by reminding Hack of everything they have shared and tries to convince him it can be different this time. Jack says he wants Janet because she is the un-Carly. He loves Carly but he can't live with her and just wants peace.

After returning from Idaho, an injured Jack spends the night on the couch in Milltown. As Carly tends to his wound, she tells Jack that she knows they still love each other. She makes a bet with him that one day he will come back to her.

A dying Carly asks Jack to help her make a video that he can play for the kids as they grow up, after she is gone. After Jack leaves for the night, Carly awakens and makes a video to leave for Jack for after she is gone. When she is done, Parker hears her crying and calls Jack.

After Jack has learned the truth about Carly setting up Nick, he tells Carly that he is leaving her. Carly begs him for another chance but Jack says he just can't live this way anymore. Carly tries to give Jack the compass so that he will return to her.

Encouraged that Jack is coming back to her after staying with her following his rescuing her when Nick left her in a cave, Carly puts on her Montana wedding dress to surprise Jack. Unfortunately Carly had the wrong idea and Jack tells her he is not coming back to her. (Sorry the video break up a little just at the beginning.)
